home countries international regatta - the kings/england coxless four came in 4th a bit disappointing after steering issue off start and struggled to get back in touch, the coxed four stroked by harry nichols won in great style, and a highly motivated coxless four then joined the coxed in the eight...racing very well in a very tight race just missing out to the irish but beating a very strong welsh crew from shrewsbury and monmouth and the scottish boat. 19/7 - the british junior rowing championships - 2 pairs and a girls composite eight raced with the a coxless four in strathclyde. the girls eight missed some water time improved through the racing but missed out on making the final. one pair didn't make the final the other of best-shaw and brady did but ran out of steam in the last quarter after a fantastic first half. the coxless four - nichols, john, forbes and trelawny-vernon cruised into their final where after a decisive move at half way they dominated and won. not only being british champions to add to their national schools win but then gaining selection as the england junior coxless four. with nichols already being in the coxed four galvin brady stepped into the coxless four. the coxless four also combines with the coxed to race as the england eight as well.....5 kings athletes in the england eight! 13/7 - the top boat - at the home countries international. 1/6 - the wednesday of henley royal regatta had king's drawn against westminster. a tough draw but everything to go for. a good start but we then came a cropper with an equipment failure as a spoon came off (!!!) at 1/4 mile marker. galvin brady continued to stroke exceptionally well despite this but obviously a result that did not show what the boys really could have done against the fastest crew in the country this year. 26/6 - henley qualifiers - the eight and the quad racing to get in to the regatta. the quad raced very well given the newness and youth of the project and did themselves proud. the eight raced to their real capability and did an extremely good job through the race to qualify and prove they are good enough to be at the races next week. results . 20/6 - four comes 1st again with the other half of the henley eight coming 2nd in junior fours. eight finds wind tough on first outing after formation camp 26/5 - national schools regatta - the eight win d final just missing out on c final in time trial.... but the four wins the 1st 4 event. girls miss out on semis in the pair as do the double but the boys pair of brady and best-shaw makes the semis - great achievement then find it too tough to make final. 17/5 - the inaugural westbere invitation regatta - with maidstone and bewl bridge. good results for the boys crew boats. 9/5 - good results from ghent regatta -
